Cat Friendly Practice, Cumbria

In 2012 Grove Vets was awarded a silver accreditation as a cat friendly clinic by the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) and Purina. We have met a stringent set of criteria (details of which can be found here) to give you the peace of mind that everyone in the practice from the receptionist to the vets recognise the particular needs of your cat and are putting their welfare first.

We understand that a visit to the vets can be a stressful experience for cats and their owners.  We strive to make this visit as relaxing as possible from the advice we give on the phone to the way we manage our feline friends in the clinic. We have had a cat-only ward for in patients for some years and are now pleased to offer cat-only consulting times and operating days.  All staff have undergone additional training to improve our knowledge and understanding of what cats need and want.
