Cali Turner

Cali grew up in Lanarkshire and qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon from the University of Glasgow in 1988. She began her working career in a mixed practice in Lincolnshire and enjoyed varied experiences, working with farm animals, racehorses, hunting horses as well as llamas and pet animals.

The hills of home were always an attraction and missing these, she moved northwards to Cumbria and spent a further 10 years in mixed practice dealing with a wide range of animal patients. She came to realise that her main interest laid in the small animal side of the work and, in order to maximise this element and spend more time with her family, she moved to Grove Veterinary Centre in 2005.

She is married and has 3 children. She has a variety of pets as well as the occasional hedgehog which needs a home in her garden. She enjoys reading, walking, gardening and horse riding, that is when she is not working or being a taxi for her children!
